Blink Tracking is a series of paintings that I began in 2020 and continue to develop. Included in this body of work are large scale paintings that are completed over a long period of time and daily paintings that are essential to the process of experiencing, remembering, and translating what I see. You can see several details in a long horizontal format highlighting the act of simultaneously seeing up close and at a distance. In our daily lives we survey the land and the space that we occupy through our vision. Through the daily repetition of painting, I remember lived experiences that are close translations of light and slight shifts in orientation, ultimately painting what my mind remembers as truth.
